Wedding-day Hairstylist

Every bride wants to look her loveliest on her wedding day and of course her hair must look just right. We have English-speaking stylists available to discuss your needs and ensure that your hair is perfect on your special day.

We believe that a trip to the hairdresser is an integral part of the whole wedding experience. It can be a time to share special pampering with your Bridesmaids and guests and should be something to look forward to. For this reason we use salons where we know you will be given first-class attention from the moment you arrive. For our Brides there is always a trial session a day or two before the wedding so that the hairdresser gets to know your hair and what you have planned in terms of hair decoration, tiara, veil etc. You may like to take this into consideration when planning how soon you should arrive in Rome before your wedding.

The cost of hairdressing in central Rome is high in comparison to the UK. Prices for coming to the hotel may or may not be higher than for a salon. Please be cautious of opting for lower priced hairdressing services sourced on-line without a specific recommendation – it is often a matter of ‘you get what you pay for’ and your wedding day isn’t the moment to be taking risks!

Make-up and Manicure

Most salons or stylists also have facilities for make-up and manicures. Should you require this it can be arranged at the same time to complete those all-important wedding day preparations.

Transport

Efficient transport arrangements will make your wedding day much less stressful. We recommend that you allow us to arrange transport for you from your hotel to the ceremony, then to the reception and away from the reception at its end. If ‘Specialist’ transport is requested then an additional charge will be made. For instance, on your romantic wedding day you might like to consider arriving at the church or reception in a traditional horse and carriage, or perhaps in a Rolls Royce. We will be very happy to arrange this as an optional extra if you wish.

For transport requirements for guests you may also select an option from the list on the Enquiry Form. The most appropriate type of vehicle will be discussed with you by the Wedding Organiser at a suitable time.

Witnesses and Interpreter

Two witnesses are required for a civil wedding in Italy and you will also need an interpreter. The cost of an interpreter is included in our estimate. If you would like us to supply witnesses then please let us know and we will arrange this for you.

Flowers

Bride’s Bouquet

We are able to offer you a selection of bouquet types for your special day. Alternatively, if you have a particular style or shape in mind that you would like our florist to make for you then we will be pleased to work to your instructions. In this case a picture of an example with an indication of your flower choices and colour scheme will be required.

Groom’s/Guests’ Buttonholes

In Italy it is not tradition for buttonholes to be worn. However, our suppliers will be happy to provide these to meet your needs.

Church Flowers

At Italian weddings it is not unknown for couples getting married on the same day at any particular church to share the cost of the flowers. We would, of course, liaise with you on this, but from our experience we have found this to be a very good cost-saving option.

Alternatively we will provide fresh flowers of your choice or, where a church uses its own florist, they will decorate the church in their usual style upon request.

Flowers at the Reception

If you are certain that you require floral decoration at your reception then please select this option from the list given on the Enquiry Form. Sometimes the reception venue will include this expense in their price. If this is the case, then we will not charge you the Optional Extra fee for this item. If you would like to have a particular colour theme for the floral decorations please let us know and we will endeavour to arrange this for you.

Music

At the Church

Some churches have a resident choir and organist that can be booked for your service. Where this is not the case we will be able to arrange these for you. If you would like a soloist to perform we will also be pleased to arrange this for you. If you have any other requests for music at the church we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.

At the Civil Ceremony

Appropriate music is supplied at all the Rome civil wedding venues but, if you wish, you may bring music of your own choice on a CD.  Please consult with us about this beforehand.

There is also a thriving Scottish Bagpipe Association in Rome for those who would like their arrival at the civil ceremony announced in this fashion.

At the Reception

It is wonderful to have music at your wedding reception. For example, you may wish to have a solo artist performing during the meal. Or perhaps you would like a disco to continue on into the evening. Just let us know your specific requirements and we will provide you with estimates of the cost.

We also supply Irish music from solo artists and bands for after dinner entertainment.

The Wedding Cake

There are many styles of traditional Italian Wedding Cake that can be supplied and we will send you descriptions and photos on request.

Photographs and Video

You will naturally want to have first-class photographs of your wedding day. We have a selection of excellent photographers working for us who we are confident will provide you with a beautiful pictorial record of your wedding. We can also offer a digital package whereby the photographer will take as many photos as you wish before, during and after the ceremony. These are then presented to you on a CD which you can take home with you and decide at your leisure which photographs you would like to print out. Of course, you have the CD to keep forever.
