A big thank you from Marcus and myself for all your hard work and expertise you put in for our wedding.
Everything was perfect and not only ourselves but all our guests could not compliment you enough. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and my only criticism was it went by far too quickly.
Everybody we met who were involved in the wedding were fantastic and it was down to you and all your team, who made our day one of the best of our lives.
Jo and Marcus May 2013

Keith and I cannot speak highly enough of the service provided by Wed In Rome and in particular, Sheila 'Wonderwoman' Phelan.
Everything went so smoothly from the initial contact, the first visit, right through to the paperwork, dealing with the bewildering Italian beaurocracy system and culminating in a perfect wedding day. Nothing was ever stressful, or too much trouble to WiR. If you want to get married in Rome, these are the people to help you - worth every penny and an absolute delight to work with.
Sheila - you deserve a medal!
Sandra and Keith October 2012

Our wedding was perfect, exceeding all expectations and was breathtakingly beautiful. Rome is the perfect place for a wedding, so classy, stylish and full of romance. The backdrop is brilliant for pictures and the warm italian hospitality makes it a pleasure to be there.
Wed-in-Rome were beyond brilliant, the communication was excellent on the run up to the wedding and beyond, and they really listened and made happen what we dreamt of. They were there at every stage during the day making it seamless, and every single guest mentioned at some point in the evening how amazing Sheila was. We cannot put into words how professional and competent Wed-in-Rome are, with amazing attention to detail. They are just brilliant.
Joanne and Ed September 2012

We had the most amazing day. Without the kind, thoughtful and professional help you both gave us we would never have been able to do this. We would totally recommend the wonderful service, guidance and friendship that you give to any couple planning a wonderful wedding in Italy. It was a truly great experience, not only calm and relaxed but thoroughly organised. We also enjoyed the photo experience as Marco made us feel very at ease and with the romantic scenery we certainly had some wonderful locations for our photos.
Finally, we would just like to thank everyone again who truly made our wedding day so special, our dear friends Vito and Marta who organised a lovely dinner at the Taverna dei Mercanti, you both, Marco and his sweet assistant, the lovely drivers and of course Manuela who made me shed a tear! Thank you again so very very much.

Our wedding was a fairytale!
We decided to marry in Rome, as we simply wanted to have a small intimate but lavish wedding abroad followed by a big party back home in England.
I contacted Wed In Rome and from this first contact I felt we were in good hands. Both Pam and Sheila were so professional and very helpful from the very start. I had some initial ideas but they helped me with all the rest of them such as choosing flowers, buttonholes - Sheila provided us with lots of information and possibilities so our decisions were well informed. They sorted out our paperwork and I must say I know British couples that have tried to do this by themselves but realized later on that they would realistically need to get some help. Sheila has organized and prepared all our paperwork over in Rome prior to our wedding with only one official 15 min appointment, which took place the day prior to our wedding.
Once in Rome, Sheila has arranged it all for us so we could both relax and enjoy our special moments. The hairdresser they use is fantastic and my hair has never looked or felt better. The flowers were a dream and absolutely picture perfect. Everyone back home looking through our wedding photos was astounded about the quality of pictures and how well the photographer has captured the moment. Our restaurant was a 3 Michelin star affair with all the lavishness and taste experimenting just as we wanted. Every part of our wedding day was perfectly organized and well planned in advance.
Sheila was very professional but personal enough to feel close to tell her what we wanted. My husband and I could not thank her enough. She was our perfect wedding planner!!!
Ester and Tony May 2012

We both wanted to say a massive thank you for our wonderful wedding day, and for being so efficient and helpful both during the day and the planning. We had a fantastic time and the guests had an absolute ball, they all said how lovely the wedding hall was, how good the restaurant was and how brilliant you were, how did we find you and where could they get one too!
Everything was perfect, from the flowers to the food to the transport to the pianist and singer, from start to finish, it was exactly as we had hoped it would be and more, and even the sun shone when it seemed doubtful that it would! We would also like to thank the staff at the Archeologia for their patience when we ended up staying an hour later than planned and for taking care of us so well all evening.
Everyone was quite astounded that we had pulled such a fantastic day off and I had to admit that we had had a little bit of help from Wed in Rome! We really felt special all day and even the tourists joined in by clapping and cheering and shouting congratulations and taking photos. Marco and Benedetta were lovely, they helped by suggesting photo ideas and weren't intrusive in the slightest, we hardly noticed they were there. Now that we have seen the photos we’re really pleased with the results. Marco managed to capture some really special moments.
Ricardo was very attentive when dropping us at each photo location by opening the doors for us, and the carriage ride to and from the wedding hall was a lovely experience too. Massimo made me look like a princess with his hair dressing, no mean feat by any means!
We really can't praise you enough and would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone thinking of a wedding in Rome. You have such a good network of suppliers and assistants who know exactly how to please and provide the service we were looking for.
Sandra and Lee June 2012

It’s hard to put into words how perfect our wedding day in Rome was and how pleased we were with the whole arrangement from start to finish. From the day I first spoke to Pam, after Wed-in-Rome was recommended to us by another very happy Bride, I knew we would be in very safe hands. You are both so professional and knowledgeable and every query and request throughout the wedding planning process was handled so promptly and professionally. We felt so confident in your ability and expertise, it really took any stress out of the process.
It was so lovely to meet you Sheila when we got to Rome, and all the time we were out there we both felt very well looked after, by yourself, Benadetta and the team. We knew the ceremony venue and restaurant would be special, but everything surpassed our expectations! From the flowers to the transport everything was spot-on.
The celebration meal at the Archeologia was wonderful and the quality of food simply fantastic, it was the excellent service we received that really made it though. Please pass on our sincere thanks to Franco and the team. More than one guest commented that it was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding! When we all came to leave Rome after the wedding we really didn’t want to go home.
Thank you so much from us both for making our wedding day exactly as we wanted it and more! We could both tell how much you really cared about everything being perfect for us, it means so much! We will definitely be recommending Wed-in-Rome if any of our friends and family think about getting married in Rome in the future or are just looking to get married and want to do something a bit different and very special! We think Rome is the perfect place!
Jo and Darren March 2012
We have had the most amazing wedding and have to start with a big THANK YOU to the Wed-in-Rome team and especially Sheila and Lynne for making our day SO special, memorable and magical.
We both felt very reassured from the start by the very prompt, professional and reassuring replies to our emails from Pam and in particular to Sheila, with whom we corresponded most. We were totally in the dark as to what to do and how to go about things and also had decided on a fairly tight time frame. From the first email we felt that any request big or small was addressed seriously, with detailed options and advice given in a very clear and comprehensible way. It made decision making this end much easier particularly with not being able to see for ourselves anything we were committing to! It was certainly a leap of faith and hence all your professionalism was much appreciated. We felt as well informed as we could be without actually being in Rome ourselves. The list of requirements and wedding schedule were very helpful.
The day was, well ..... just magical!! All ran to plan as far as we could see! The ceremony was more beautiful and special than we could have dreamt. The music was perfect. The soberness of the official helped to contain the emotion on the front row and gave an air of dignity and seriousness to the occasion. But we also felt that we could be ourselves and loved every second: nerves, tears and laughter! We did not feel that we were being herded out at any point – which had perhaps been a slight preconception. We were able to enjoy the Sala Rossa to the full and are very grateful to the staff there who put up with shaky signatures and Tim’s attempts at writing his whole name!!
Coming out to the Piazza was wonderful! .....
The photos by the forum were a perfect setting with the sun blazing. Thanks to Sheila for borrowing sunglasses from various unsuspecting tourists for the group photo! At no point did we feel any pressure and Sheila managed to stall the carriage driver whilst we took more photos and soaked up the sunshine.
The horse and carriage was a magical experience with everyone waving and shouting congratulations.
Everyone enjoyed the walk over and the Mums and Richard enjoyed their ride with Ricardo. Rienzo’s was wonderful. Everyone has said how incredible it was to sit out in the Piazza with the amazing Pantheon backdrop, sun shining, sipping Prosecco and eating the lovely lunch. It was very good food and just right for a light meal. We were so comfortable we were there for nearly two hours having gelati and tea and coffee as well before heading to the Pantheon. Marianna was a great hostess and all her staff very professional and attentive. So definitely recommended for anyone else!
Le Grotte (in the evening) was perfect! The table looked lovely and the plan was as requested with the place names all laid out. We had an impromptu receiving line as everyone arrived! It was lovely having our own section but still feeling part of the restaurant. The food was really good, - lots of clean plates! - the cake delicious and the service very attentive. On speaking to everyone there – they all seemed to enjoy the food and beautiful setting. We were actually able to pull the curtain for the speeches which really did give us our own private function room.
An added bonus was when Tristan (Sarah’s nephew), who is a very talented musician played a couple of pieces of the restaurant’s grand piano at the end of the evening. The restaurant were more than happy with this and cleared the chairs and dusted off the piano! Sarah and Tim had a dance to Let it Be and Joanna and Richard sang a duet.
Thank you for suggesting the restaurant and we will certainly be going back for a meal next time we are in Rome!
Well we think that is everything! We would just like to say a huge thank you again from us and from all our guests for looking after us so well, for being so professional, but so approachable, and for helping us to have the most magical wedding day we could ever have wished for.
Sarah and Tim January 2012

Our wedding was amazing and we are still reeling from the fact that it is all over and we now have to get back to real life. Sheila was fantastic from start to finish and everything ran so smoothly. She is so well organised and had thought of everything. It was a joy to spend time with her (and Oscar!).
Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed David's bus tour - we were sad to have missed it. We also love our photos, taken by Dario, who captured everything so well.
We are also still in shock from the fabulous meal at L'Archaeologia - so much food and of such high quality and the staff worked so hard to ensure that everything was perfect.
Our parents were so proud because all our friends and family had such a good time. They said that it would have been impossible to hold a wedding of this quality in the UK. As one of our guests commented "All weddings should be in Rome from now on because nothing can top this".
So thank you to Wed-In-Rome and thanks to you also Pam for helping to make our day perfect from behind the scenes.
Christina and Chris December 2011

We would like to thank you for all your help in making our wedding the incredible day it was.
When we first decided to get married in Rome we had no idea where to start. After a few emails to Wed-in-Rome, that were responded to in an impressively prompt manner, we had a much better understanding of what was involved. From that first contact, we found Wed-in-Rome to be incredibly helpful in all of our dealings. Having looked back, we see that we asked a great deal of questions along the way and you both did a fantastic job of answering each and every one of them – even those that probably seemed a bit silly.
Where there were any changes of plan, you both dealt with them swiftly and kept our minds at ease in what was a hectic time for us organizing dresses, a honeymoon, travel arrangements and a number of other bits our end.
The day itself was a perfect conclusion to the many months of planning – we could not have imagined a more beautiful wedding. Rome is a stunning place to get married and the suppliers that Wed-in-Rome use all live up to the incredible backdrop – the flowers, the hair and make-up, the transport, the reception with incredibly friendly staff and a DJ that had everyone up dancing – all were fantastic and exceeded our expectations.
It has been a pleasure using such friendly professional and quality wedding planners – you really made our wedding special and we would wholeheartedly recommend you to anyone!
Laura and Clive September 2011
From the incredibly personal to the impressively professional service; planning our wedding was made a stress-free and actually enjoyable experience thanks to Sheila and Pam. From the first email responding to our query, we were decided. All questions posed by the ladies were relevant, pertinent and thought provoking and within days they were able to offer suggestions and proposals to manifest our wedding dreams. It was amazing - these ladies really do know what they're doing!
We chose to limit our budget and as wedding planners who deal with very large and prestigious events, we were worried that our experience may suffer from a lack of attention. We completely forgot all about this brief concern as Sheila very quickly became more than our wedding planner and made us feel like special friends; this is a very special company. Wed-in-Rome can handle any size and budget and make you all feel like VIPs regardless of whether there are 20 guests or 200, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.
None of our family or friends could believe just how relaxed we were leading up to the wedding; some were worried about the apparent 'complacency' of the bride - until they arrived and met Sheila.
The efficiency and thought with which our pre-wedding itinerary had been prepared was fantastic; not once did we feel like we were 'running to schedule' but everything was completed with time to spare and time for us to relax ahead of our big day. Not even a passport loss threw our schedule off by more than an hour or so! As another couple have stated, it would have been nigh impossible for us to organise our wedding in Rome with the Italian red tape and organisational quirks of their bureaucracy, but Pam and Sheila made it easier than doing it in the UK. And far prettier!
The choices of the Complesso Vignola Mattei, the wonderfully ambient L'Archeologia reception with excellent service from Franco and Roberto, and the carte blanche of photo locations were typically Wed-in-Rome: informed and knowledgeable suggestions offered with impeccable taste but made to feel like our own.
Our wedding was easy. It was picture perfect. It was the best start to a long and happy marriage that we could have wished for.
Thank you Wed-in-Rome.
Danielle and Tristian August 2011
“Our wedding day totally surpassed ours and our families’ expectations and all the planning and preparation was well and truly worth it. The celebration meal at Clemente Maddelena was perfect. The table and room looked fab, just the right size, food amazing and the service was faultless. With the doors open it allowed us to feel part of all the amazing atmosphere in the piazza and we were out there dancing the night away and were even joined by other diners when we were dancing which was lovely. - what more can I say perfect, simply perfect!!
We have been delighted with 'Wed in Rome' throughout all our preparation; your attention to detail, sheer professionalism and being great people to work with, helped make our day so very special and we would highly recommend your services.
Lovely to have worked with you over the last 12 months and all our very best wishes for Wed in Rome.”

Thank you so much for your assistance. We all had a fabulous day which was due to your fantastic organisation.
We cannot thank you enough! We also had a lovely honeymoon in Italy.

“We would both like to say thank you for organising such a wonderful day for us. We were literally flying by the seat of our pants not knowing what to expect but it was perfect. The service was brilliant anytime I emailed a question I got a prompt and helpful response. It was so easy all we did was send a few emails, post our documents and turn up!
The Villa Lais is such a pretty little venue and perfect for the few guests we had. The Italian lady who performed the ceremony was so friendly and we just felt totally relaxed and enjoyed the whole thing. The driver Ricardo was brilliant he even gave us a bit of a guided tour and the vehicle for our guests was perfect taking us from the Colisseum and the Spanish Steps for photographs.
In the evening we walked from the Spanish Steps to a restaurant on Piazza Navona and then back to the apartment near the Vatican and the locals were so friendly cheering and clapping wishing us good luck. It was just brilliant we didn’t have a formal evening reception but the people and the atmosphere of the city just made the day!
A massive thank you to Lynne, Ricardo, Sheila and Pam!!”

“The whole Wed in Rome experience is one which we cannot speak highly enough of. It is a really daunting task deciding to get married abroad, and then having to choose the company to help you to do it. As soon as I spoke to Pam about the possibility of it happening, I knew it was the right thing to do. From start to finish, the 2 ladies were so helpful, lovely and very organised. I knew when we were on the plane to Rome that I didn’t need to worry about anything as it had all been taken care of. I had to be one of the most chilled out brides ever!!
We are so happy that we decided to do the deed in this way.. it was perfect for us. I can’t wait to see the official photos, which I am sure will be fabulous, as the photographers were so professional.
Anna and Guy March 2011

"We always knew we wanted to get married in Rome, we even knew in which Church! Our only problem was how to arrange it.
Being uber organised people ourselves it was important that we trusted that whoever organised our wedding would do it to the same standards as we would.
From the first email we knew Wed in Rome was the wedding firm for us. From initial contact to the final invoice they have stood out from their competitors for their hard work, effort and determination to get things right for us.
Nothing was ever too much trouble and with Pam at the helm in England and Shelia on the ground in Rome every request and question was researched and responded to promptly.
Their knowledge and experience is second to none and, more importantly, they understood and delivered on every occasion.
Our wedding day truly was the best day of our lives and was made more memorable by Wed in Rome. They exceeded any expectations we ever had of our day and made it an amazing experience. They delivered everything we asked for and so much more. It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy the day with our family and friends knowing that Wed in Rome would sort everything out.
Thank you for making our wedding day such a wonderful, magical and memorable day."
Jason and Emma October 2010
"Mike and I write this testimonial as we felt we had to share our experience with other people who may be thinking about getting married in Rome.
Living and working in China I thought it would be near impossible to organise a wedding. We both decided on Rome and decided that the Villa Lais was the perfect location to get married, as we only wanted a small affair with immediate friends and family.
We looked at many different websites but kept coming back to Wed-in-Rome. We sent off the enquiry form and got a really quick response, which we were very impressed by. With the time difference it was difficult to call and speak to Pam and Sheila so the majority of the correspondence was done by e-mail, and we always got prompt replies.
We both agreed that Wed-In-Rome were the company to organise our wedding. Being Scottish we wanted to try and keep with some of our traditions and didn’t think it would be possible to find a piper in Rome, but Sheila came up trumps and organised a Scottish piper.
Nothing was too much trouble for Sheila and she did an outstanding job. The florist she used did an excellent job with my flowers, almost identical to the picture sent. Massimo, the hairdresser that Sheila organised did an outstanding job and he and his staff made me feel very welcome and very much at ease, perhaps the Prosecco helped!
We would also like to thank everyone involved in making our day a very special and memorable one - Lynne, our translator, Ricardo, the driver, Marco, the photographer for taking fantastic photos. Everyone was very friendly and professional.
Our meal at the L’Archeolgia was top class and the location perfect for our small party. The only problem – too much food!
We would like to finish by saying a big big thankyou to Sheila and Pam for organising such a special wedding and making it perfect."
Mike & Yvonne – September 2010

"When people ask us, ‘Why Rome?’ we answer, ‘Why not!’.
We would both like to thank you so much for organising such a beautiful and memorable wedding day for us.
Leading up to the wedding many of our friends and family commented that it would be the best day of our lives and without a doubt it truly was. The two of us, our family and friends were all made to feel so special. We were literally beaming from ear to ear the entire day.
When planning our wedding we started out with a challenging budget and a very short time scale, yet within just three months you had put in place all of the necessary arrangements for an absolutely stunning wedding.
Given the time available and financial constraints a pre-wedding visit to Italy was unfortunately not an option, but we still felt very comfortable and confident making our decisions for the wedding location and reception based on the excellent information and guidance that you provided for us in advance.
We cannot thank you enough for taking all the stress out of the planning process for us. We actually left home for Rome feeling as though we should have had to do more! It all seemed so easy compared to the stresses all our other friends have had to struggle with in preparing for their own weddings. Also having seen the Italian’s organisation at the municipal offices I think it is safe to say that we definitely couldn’t of got married in Rome without your help.
On the wedding day itself Sheila, Benadetta, Marco and Ricardo were absolutely marvellous and several of our guests commented on how friendly and professional they all were. They made us feel at ease and we felt confident in their hands as they guided us through our day which flowed seamlessly. The entire day felt effortless for us and our guests, we didn’t have to worry about a thing and just enjoyed every moment.
The Villa Lais was the perfect location for our small intimate wedding (20 guests), it had a very special feeling which was just what we were looking for. And the opportunity to have our wedding photos taken at such iconic locations as the Colosseum and the Trevi fountain was really, really special. The transport provided also enabled our guests to see some of the sights of Rome throughout the day which was a fantastic bonus.
Our wedding dinner at the L’Archeologia was the icing on the cake and we were absolutely blown away by the food and the level of service received from Franco, Roberto and all the other staff, they made us feel so special and they couldn’t do enough for us and our guests.
We still feel overwhelmed by how magical our day was and find it hard to put into words just what it meant to us. We cannot thank you enough."
James & Kristy October 2010
"It was always a dream of ours to get married abroad and Italy was our chosen destination. We started surfing the net for potential reception venues and churches and the grandeur of the whole planning soon became apparent!
We came across a few wedding planning services, asked for quotes etc, but right from the word go one company stood out miles ahead of the rest....Wed In Rome. Although it was just an email, we could tell that this company was different from the rest...they cared about our wedding. It wasn't just another wedding. It was ours and it was just as important to Wed In Rome to get everything right, as it was to us. Pam and Sheila were extremely professional throughout the process yet there was a warmth and friendliness that made us feel completely at ease and we trusted them 100%.
We decided to take up the 'come and see' offer and it is the best thing we could have done! We were both quite nervous about meeting Sheila for the first time but as soon as she arrived at our hotel, she put us at ease and within no time we were all talking like old friends reunited. Sheila shared our enthusiasm and excitement and this was so reassuring for us. We had sent a comprehensive list of what we wanted and what we were looking for in terms of the style of reception venue. In the end, Sheila showed us round 4 venues which fitted the bill to the 'T' and then she threw in a 'wild card'. Once we returned home we had the hardest decisions to make but it was the wild card which won. We opted for a church wedding in Rome centre (the absolutely spectacular church of San Marco Evangalista al Campidoglio) and a reception outside of the centre overlooking the stunning Lago Albano.
In fact the decision process was probably the most stressful part of our wedding. The rest was all taken care of by Sheila and Pam.
Nothing was too much for them and the speed at which they responded to our many emails was remarkable.
We had a group of 80 guests flying into Rome over a couple of days for the wedding. As we were staying out by Lago Albano, Sheila arranged transport for them from the airport and even came to pick up a large group of our guests who arrived late at night. Sheila also managed to retreive forgotten luggage from the shuttle bus without even batting an eyelid! Nothing was a problem for her and this was invaluable as we had nothing to stress over...all was taken care of for us.
Alongside Sheila on our wedding day was Pam's fantastic husband David. His company was enjoyed by all our guests and once again, David was more like a friend to everyone than a 'wedding planner'.
Sheila booked Danilo for our photographs and he was absolutely great. He kept us laughing yet was not intrusive at all and let us enjoy the time we had together away from the rest of the wedding party as we went round the spectacular sights of Rome having our wedding photos taken.
Working hard too was Benadetta, a fantastic young lady who escorted us during the day and kept us on track with our photos.
Before we knew it it was time to say goodbye to David and Sheila and it truly felt like we were saying goodbye to friends.
Our wedding was a day that we will never forget. It was more than we could have wished for. It was a brilliant experience for all of our guests too and we all have the hard working team at Wed In Rome to thank for that!
This is a company that is 100% professional, 100% friendly, 100% trustworthy and 100% worth every penny!!! If we were to do it all again, we wouldn’t waste time looking around. We would head straight to Wed In Rome, and enjoy every minute of the wedding build-up.
Thank you Wed In Rome from the bottom of our hearts. May your business continue to prosper and may you continue making couple's dreams a reality for many years to come!!!"
Becca and Keith June 2010
"After having an amazing wedding in May 2010 we can honestly say that without Wed In Rome, none of it would have been possible.
If you are considering getting married in Rome there really is nowhere else to go for the ultimate wedding planning experience. Both Sheila and Pam were extremely efficient and professional, constantly updating us on events and bookings, accommodating our every need and making sure we were nothing but happy with every element of the big day. Once in Rome – nothing was too much trouble for Sheila! She met us at the airport, showed us numerous venues, even taking us to a supermarket when we ran out of baby food!
We felt totally looked after from the beginning of our experience to the very end ..and even beyond!
We left a few belongings behind in church and Sheila kindly posted them back to England for us…outstanding service. We can only thank Wed in Rome from the bottom of our hearts for a truly exceptional day."
Emma and Andy May 2010
"When we decided to get married in Rome, we browsed online for several hours looking at what different organisers had to offer, but as soon as we came across "Wed In Rome" we just knew this was for us!
From day one, Pam dealt with all of our questions very swiftly and we were really confident that this would be the company to make our wedding plans come to life! It only took a little correspondence between Pam and ourselves before we paid our deposit and started to get really excited about organising a dream wedding in a beautiful location.
We sent so many emails back and forth to Pam and to Sheila, asking for advice on the different restaurants in Rome, the venues for the ceremony, Wedding cakes, bouquets, photographs, etc .. and we always received prompt replies with detailed responses to help us make our choices without any doubts to ensure we got everything that we wanted for our special day. If we changed our minds on anything, there was never any indication or hint of either of these 2 wonderful ladies feeling put out to accommodate our wishes, which was fabulous and we felt in control the whole time, whilst the stress of the planning was left to them.
Soon after we arrived in Rome, Sheila met us at our rented apartment with a lovely bottle of bubbly for us as a gift, and to introduce herself and go through the plans for our wedding day, and instantly we felt like we'd known her for a long time. She was warm, friendly, full of sparkle and good advice, and helped to put us at ease, leaving the preparations to her, whilst we enjoyed the whole experience of the run up to the big day.
We were married at the Sala Rossa in the Campidoglio on 11th April and WOW what a magical day it all was! Sheila and Pam arrived early that morning to bring my beautiful bouquet round along with my husband’s button hole, these were both perfect and were made completely as I had requested, and were even better than the emailed pictures I had sent as a guide. I could not have chosen a better bouquet if I had gone to the florist myself! Everyone commented on how beautiful it looked. Ricardo was our driver for the day and he was absolutely amazing. He kept me calm in the car, spoke brilliant English and made lots of jokes with us to settle our nerves on the way to the ceremony. We forgot the bouquet and had to go back to get it which did not faze Ricardo one bit! He drove us back to fetch it, and we still arrived at the Sala Rossa in good time!
Sheila kept me calm whilst we waited to enter the Sala Rossa, and she was by my side right up until I walked down the aisle with my dad. She was a great support and I am so pleased she played a part in my special day, because I trusted her, enjoyed her company and felt at ease with her nearby, Ii felt confident that all was well. She was more like a friend to us rather than a wedding planner.
The ceremony was beautiful, and everything we had hoped for, even though it was over with quite quickly. We had hired Danilo to be our photographer for the day and he was amazing. He was great fun, never intrusive, and captured some beautiful moments of our special day for us to keep forever. We had photos at the Forum, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, each location being perfect and we have treasured memories standing in our wedding outfits as Man and Wife for the first time in such a beautiful city. Having the photos taken was a great experience for us as we were alone, able to take in our new status as newly weds, standing at landmarks that took your breath away, and having our huge smiles and embraces caught on camera by the wonderful Danilo.
Our guests were on a coach with Pam’s husband David who was so funny and entertaining, all of our guests loved him! They all said how he had made the day even more special for them as he made jokes with them and took them to many famous sights in Rome while our photos were taken. Once we arrived back at our apartment, we had a few more photographs as we cut the cake and a glass of bubbly, and then it was time for the "Wed In Rome" group to leave. We actually felt a little sad to say our goodbyes.
When we got our disc from Danilo almost a week after our ceremony, we were amazed to discover he had taken over 900 pictures of our wedding, and they were stunning! We felt so very lucky to have had him as our photographer and would highly recommend him to anybody who would like amazing photos to capture special memories. Everybody that has seen our pictures all say that they look very professional and are beautiful. We are so glad we had Danilo!
For anyone looking at getting married in Rome, we would recommend this company 100% and promise you will not be disappointed in any way with the service they provide. They take care of everything, nothing is ever too much trouble, and you are in control of everything you want to achieve for your special day, along with their help to finalise the details. You sit back and enjoy the whole process whilst Pam and Sheila do all the hard work.
These ladies are worth their weight in gold and we will always smile when we remember them and what they both did for us. We had a fairytale wedding in the most beautiful city in the world and without "Wed In Rome" it would never have happened.
I hope you all continue for many years to come and thrive! You make dreams come true and we both want to thank you immensely."
Michelle and Michael April 2010
"When we decided to get married in Rome, Greg and I contacted a couple of companies to get an idea of what was available. It soon became clear that Wed in Rome were by far the best company to deal with. They responded to our initial emails extremely quickly and presented a number of options, complete with detailed prices, something that nobody else properly provided. We took up the offer of meeting Sheila in Rome to see some churches and reception venues and were immediately impressed with how well Sheila understood what we were looking for. At the end of our trip to Rome we had decided on a church, reception venue and photographer. Sheila's local knowledge and experience meant that we were able to make these decisions quickly.
Leading up to the wedding, Sheila and Pam were always very prompt and efficient in responding to our many emails and were never put out when we changed our minds over various things. We always had complete confidence that they had everything under control and it took the stress out of the planning for us. On the day, all of their hard work paid off with everything running very smoothly for ourselves and our 75 guests. Every detail had been taken care of, the table decorations at the reception, the organist and soloist, the flowers, everything was just as we wanted it and we had a fantastic day.
We would recommend Wed in Rome to anyone looking to getting married in Italy, we really didn't expect such a professional and personal service and will always be grateful to Pam and Sheila for making our wedding in Rome so special."

"Firstly, we just want to say a huge huge thank you to you, Barbara and Tony for helping to make our wedding day one of the most memorable days of our lives. It was truly an amazing and special day for all three of us and your assistance with Holly was greatly appreciated.
Throughout the whole day and in fact the previous months, your attention to our needs was second to none. We both felt completely comfortable with all of the arrangements you had made for us and we knew from very early on we were in safe hands! Your professionalism stood out but yet you were very personal which we both feel made all the difference. It was such a pleasure to have met you and to have let you look after our wedding day. We were so happy with all of the services provided on the day. Everybody was so understanding and professional which was greatly appreciated. Honestly, we can not thank you all enough."

"From the moment we found Wed in Rome we knew they were the ones for us! We felt reassured that there was a representative in both Rome and the UK and the initial response we received from Pam after our first enquiry was extremely prompt and gave us the exact details were needed to start out with.
We loved the idea of the 'come and see' offer and took this up in Sept ember 2008, 12 months before our wedding was due to take place. It was fantastic to put a face to the name and meet with Sheila after organising the initial details of the wedding via email and phone. We could not have been happier with the 'come and see' visit; any worries about an overseas wedding were completely dispelled by Sheila and we felt so comfortable in the hands of both herself, Pam and the entire WiR team.
The following months of preparation were handled exceptionally well and any requests or amendments were dealt with seamlessly with the utmost care and attention given at all times. We were always made to feel as though we were the only couple getting married with WiR in September 2009!
When our wedding day arrived it was absolutely perfect and we really cannot express how amazing the experience was from start to finish. Every detail was taken care of and we were both completely relaxed throughout the entire day. Ourselves, family and friends all commented on how Wed in Rome handled the day. Everyone who attended our Wed in Rome wedding are now left with many wonderful memories to treasure for years to come.
We love looking back at our wedding photos and reliving our magical day and now we're looking forward to returning to Rome in September 2010 to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary in the city that will be eternally special to us both.
We wouldn't hesitate in the slightest to recommend Wed-in-Rome to our family and friends should any of them decide to follow in our footsteps and marry in Italy in the future. We thank Sheila and Pam and all of our WiR friends from the bottom of our hearts for making it possible for us to live the day we dreamt about since getting engaged."

"We really don’t know where to begin thanking you for making our wedding day so magical. We never thought for one moment that we could feel this way and it’s all down to you and the wonderfully professional, yet personal, way in which you organised everything for us.
We felt confident right from our first discussions with you and Pam and were very impressed with the extremely professional, efficient and caring way in which you helped us decide on our wedding day needs. The day we spent in Rome with you looking at wedding venues and areas for photographs was invaluable.
Our confidence in you was rewarded tenfold from the moment we arrived in Rome and were greeted by Ricardo who made us feel like very special people. His professional, yet friendly, ways and knowledge of the city were like a breath of fresh air. We were beginning to feel that our wedding was being arranged by wedding professionals who are dear friends.
We had decided to have a small wedding in Rome because we wanted a personal, fuss free day where Roger and I could make our vows and reaffirm our commitment to each other in a way we felt we couldn’t in a civil service in the UK. You fulfilled – no exceeded - all of our expectations – our wedding day was magical – from the moment you delivered my bouquet and flowers to the hotel (and fitted them to the lapels and handbags) to the time we arrived back at our hotel. At our time of life we never thought our wedding would make us feel like teenagers again but it did – and we still feel that way.
As with the first part of the day our celebratory meal at the Ristorante l’Archeologia was superb. From the moment we arrived the food and service were excellent and exceeded all expectations. Even the drive back to the hotel after our meal was excellent – Ricardo chose a route where we could see ‘the sights’ floodlit – it was wonderful and even though he wasn’t feeling very well he still remained very cheerful.
We are very aware Sheila that none of this would have happened so smoothly and efficiently without you – you were wonderful and we hope that we can meet again one day – perhaps on our first wedding anniversary – back in Rome.
Once again sincere thanks to you and everyone at Wed-in-Rome for a magical wedding day."

"Just a quick note to say thank you for making our wedding day so special, it really was a dream come true! The meal at Hotel Raphael was incredible and the view was breathtaking!
Thank you for making the organisation of the wedding so easy, people always told me that getting married was stressful but I have to say I didn't find it to be that way.
The service you provided myself and John was outstanding and we felt we were able to contact you at any time with any query! Regardless of how small! Your replies were always prompt and detailed so that on the day we had no surprises!
Once again thank so much for arranging the wedding of our dreams!"

"The service provided by Wed-in-Rome was 1st class right from our initial contact. We were sceptical at first about using an internet company but straight away it was clear that we had nothing to worry about. Whatever we asked for was never a problem and we would urge all couples to take advantage of the ‘come and see’ offer. We had an amazing time in Rome with Sheila; she took us to look at the church we had chosen and then various different restaurants to have our reception and even different hotels.
We found planning our wedding with Sheila and Pam totally stress free, we put all our trust in them and it was like having friends on board to sort everything out, we had a party when we got home and that was more stressful than the wedding day!! Emails were answered straight away and nothing was too much for them, if they couldn’t do something straight away we would still have an email and our minds put at rest that it was being dealt with.
We got married in May at the Santa Costanza church and had a meal after at the L’Archeologia Restaurant and the day was absolutely perfect in every way. We booked our Mum’s, sisters and bridesmaids in to have their hair done at the same time as me and it was just our little party in the salon. We were all pampered and treated like royalty! Massimo was amazing and I nearly cried when I saw my hair, a few of us also had our make up and nails done. Marco the photographer and his assistant came to the hotel to take photos of us getting ready, photos leaving the hotel and then he got to the church to take shots of us arriving, he has taken some truly spectacular photos that we shall treasure forever. I also need to mention the staff at the restaurant especially Roberto who couldn’t do enough for us and the food was amazing!
Being driven around Rome in our beautiful vintage triumph was also incredible, people were waving and taking photos of us, we felt like celebrities!! And while we went to a few locations for our photos our guests went on a guided tour of Rome with David and our guests tell us that David was brilliant. Many of our guests said that ours was the best wedding they have ever been to.
We can not put into words how grateful we are to the Wed-in-Rome team but especially to Sheila, who was there in Rome to sort everything out for us, you have a special quality and your attention to detail is second to none. Thank you for making our wedding day the most remarkable, unforgettable day of our lives."

"It had always been Katherine’s dream to get married in Rome. However, having chosen Rome as the wedding location, after a little bit of research we quickly found out that this would be a daunting task to organise, and felt that some help would be necessary. We used the internet to look for wedding planners, and found Wed-in-Rome amongst others. We decided to take advantage of their free come and look visit offer, and were met at the airport by Sheila, who was very friendly and professional from the outset.
During this visit Sheila took us to several churches and reception venues. We wanted a small wedding party (9 guests + ourselves) and we settled on a lovely little chapel, San Tommaso in Formis, not too far from the Colosseum, as the church. We also chose the L’Olimpo rooftop restaurant at the Hotel Bernini Bristol with its magnificent views across Rome as the reception venue.
In the weeks and months prior to the wedding, Sheila and Pam were a big help helping to organise almost every aspect of our wedding, from the legal side of things to the booking of flowers and the wedding car. We had numerous conversations both on the telephone and through e-mail and Sheila and Pam were invaluable throughout.
When the big day finally arrived, it was Katherine’s dream come true. We had a wonderful soloist, accompanied by a talented violinist and church organist, which together with the church helped create a joyous occasion. Our English-speaking priest, Father Albert, made us feel very relaxed and conducted a beautiful mass. After the ceremony, we were able to have photographs in the beautiful park and gardens adjacent to the church, before being taken in our wedding car, a classic Jaguar Mk II, for further pictures by the Colisseum and the Pantheon. Being driven in the back of this car around the streets of Rome attracted a lot of attention - it was great feeling famous for a short while. The ambience, quality of the service and the food at the reception venue helped to complete a fabulous day that was enjoyed by all.
This day could not have turned out the way it did without the efforts of Sheila and the Wed-in-Rome team, and Katherine would like to give special thanks to Bernadetta for helping her with her dress and ensuring she didn’t get wet when it rained. We would also like to mention the photographer, Simone, who made us feel relaxed, and we now have a set of wonderful photographs to remind us of our special day in Rome."

"We could not have been happier with the service provided by Sheila, Pam and David from Wed-in-Rome. From the first time we met Sheila to the end of our wonderful wedding day the service was first class all the way.
The assistance given was responsive, personal and above all extremely professional - even when we were faced with the horror of a booking falling through 6 weeks before the wedding (not, we hasten to add, the fault of Wed-in-Rome!), Sheila and Pam remained calm and found us an alternative venue at short notice that we actually preferred to our original choice.
The wedding day itself could not have run any more smoothly - it was a completely stress free experience and we always felt that we were in the safest hands. Thank you again for the superb service - we would not hesitate to recommend you."

"I can not thank the two of you enough for all you have done to make our wedding day so extraordinary. It all began 9 months ago when my then fiancée and I decided to get married in Italy. What a dream wedding it would be, but where do we start.
Being from and living in the United States we were clueless. So my search on the internet began. I researched where I wanted to get married and found the Castle Odescalchi in Bracciano, Italy would be perfect. If it was good enough for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, it would be good enough for us. Then my search for the perfect wedding planner began.
I emailed 5 different wedding planners and the only ones who could get us the Castle Odescalchi were Sheila and Pam; I was literally jumping up and down with excitement. And the special date we requested, 8-8-08, was not easy to get because it is a lucky day as well.
You both put my worried mind at ease. I emailed you both every day and I would always get a prompt response within 24 hours. Every detail for that day was attended to and no matter what I requested you both went above and beyond my expectations to fulfill my every wish. It truly took 10 months to plan our wedding, and you both communicated with me every day to organize this special event.
The most difficult part of the whole experience was that I completely relied on your judgment for planning such a special event and you carried out each and every desire I asked for. Thanks again so much for everything, I will never forget the wonderful friendship we have made through this whole experience."

"I have always loved Rome and took Dave on a short weekend break; he fell in love with it too. When he proposed I knew I had to get married in Rome, I contacted you and you talked us through all the options and venues. We had only 6 months until the June wedding date we’d chosen anyway but that wasn’t a problem.
We came out in the February for a long weekend and met up with you. We talked about venues, flowers, everything. We chose the Villa Lais for the ceremony.
We came out for a week, 5 days before the wedding, to get all the paperwork sorted, it was the easiest thing in the world, an absolute pleasure, and the day went without a hitch, you chose an amazing restaurant for our reception and they made our party feel like the only party there.
We’ve returned on our anniversary and went to the same restaurant, still just as amazing!!
Our Wedding was a day to remember for us and all our family & friends."

"From the initial contact with Wed In Rome the service has been way beyond our expectations. We wanted to get married in a foreign country from the outset and the initial proposal of Hong Kong was proving just too difficult to pull off, but as it turns out it could not have worked out any better.
Every aspect of our wedding was dealt with by yourselves with the utmost professionalism and thoroughness. I must say Sheila your attention to detail is what really reassured us that we were in safe hands. From the initial meeting there was never a moment of doubt that we would have any problems – and well we knew even if any problems were encountered that you would be able to deal with them!
I would recommend, as you did to us, to any future couples to continue to push for the initial visit prior to the wedding, not only to choose the venues etc but also to meet you as that was the real benefit from the visit. From that point on any arranging could be done with the re-assurance that you knew exactly what you were doing and also what we wanted.
The visit did enable us to choose the reception venue and L’archeologia could not have been ANY better. It cannot be praised highly enough, the food was all fab, the staff (esp. Roberto I think his name was) were brilliant and the whole night was a real pleasure. The iPod was a great facility and again there was not one aspect which could be faulted.
I could go through the whole process of every aspect of the day, but there is little need as you know how it all went, but we wanted to say that every person you used to help make our day special were brilliant, the nail people, the hairdressers, the staff at the reception, the church, Lynne, Father Bill, the limo driver and obviously Simone.
The photo’s are a real joy to look at and capture the day brilliantly, we will enjoy looking at those for years and years and again we appreciate all his efforts throughout the day.
All of our guests commented on how brilliant the day was and thought that you guys were all brilliant too. They enjoyed the tour David gave them on the bus and were just amazed with how efficient you were in making sure the day operated smoothly."

"We were overwhelmed with how you made our day.
Despite actually only meeting Sheila and Lee for a matter of hours before the day and Pam and David on the day itself it felt as though we had known each of you for an absolute age and you were quite simply part of the family.
As we reconstructed the day over and over the one thing which we kept returning to was how you were at the absolute forefront of every aspect of our day whilst being firmly in the background - ever-present yet utterly unobtrusive. You made us feel truly spoiled and we cannot thank you enough.
We believe we managed to achieve a fun and informal day for one and all in the most idyllic surroundings. The Villa Lais was exactly as you said - perfect for a small and intimate ceremony. The Hotel de Russie - worth every penny! Please tell Marinella that from the moment we stepped off the plane to the time we were dropped back at the airport we were made to feel very special. The Hotel is quite simply beautiful. My brother and his wife are already making arrangements to stay there next year to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary!"
